TERMS & CONDITIONS
When purchasing a service from Avery Cakes Event Planning LLC, all orders are subjected to the terms and conditions as stated below.
Payment:
When purchasing a service, it is best to first contact us directly for a consultation. Shortly after, you will receive an email with an invoice guiding you through various payment methods. Payment, invoice, and contracts are all done through Honey Book.
Deposits:
For all of our services, a 50% deposit is required to secure a date. The remaining balance is due two days prior for cakes. For events, we require the full balance one week prior.
Contracts:
For cakes-Any cake that is valued more than $500 or consists of more than two tiers will require a signed contract from the client. A copy of the contract will be sent to their email.
For all events, contracts are enforced and are personalized to each package.
All contracts are done through Honey Book.
Delivery:
Delivery fee depends on the location and are only done locally from our location. Delivery can be requested a day before an event. Please note that weather conditions and traffic can affect the estimated time of delivery.
Loss or Damages:
We pride ourselves in properly packaging all cakes and side desserts. We are not held responsible for any product damage after leaving our care. We are also not responsible if damage occurs during a customer’s transportation or storage. We advise all customers to keep their car cool during transportation and take time driving. In addition, if edible images or wafer paper are used on cakes, it is important for the client to remove the plastic cover to prevent condensation drops from forming thus causing the ink to run. All cakes are advised to be kept in a cold environment. Uber services or any pick-up services can be used upon the client’s request.
Cancellations:
For cakes-For any cancellation made two weeks prior to an event, a full refund is issued. However, cancellations made less than two weeks in advance are non-refundable. In the unlikely event, we have to cancel an order, we will offer a full refund.
For events, we divide them into three portions. Weddings, Events, and Balloon Garland services.
Since Weddings are booked six months in advance, a cancellation issued 90 days or more before an event will get a full refund. Between 45-89 days before the event, 25% of the contract total will be owed. If the client requests cancellation 31-44 days before the event, 50% of the contract will be owed. After 30 days in advance of the event, 100% of the balance of the agreed contract is nonrefundable.
For Events that are booked at least three months in advance:
Cancellation of more than three months in advance is fully refundable. For events cancelled two months in advance, 25% will be refunded. For events canceled one month in advance, 50% will be refunded. Events canceled three weeks in advance is non-refundable.
For Balloon Garland services that are booked at least 3 weeks in advance:
Services are canceled with three weeks or more notice, a full refund is issued. Services are canceled with two weeks’ notice, a 25% refund is issued. Services canceled within one week are nonrefundable.
Refunds:
Edible décor such as cake and side desserts are non-refundable since they are food products.
Variations in Products:
For cakes and side desserts, every product is done by hand. Therefore, there may be a slight variation with the finished products. We also ask for creative control; in the event, a revision is made to better enhance the cake or side dessert features.
For events, we pride ourselves on providing an event that is breathtaking. However, alterations and variations to the theme in mind can occur that would further enhance the vision of the events. Therefore, it’s best to trust us and we will handle the rest.
Images and Videos Consent:
For cakes with edible images, we ask clients’ permission first before posting on our social media platform and website. In addition, we encourage clients to send us images/videos of their event so we can compile a video to post on our social media platforms.
For all events, clients are required to sign a media release form which would allow events to be posted on our social media platform and website.
